What was the highlight of Gangneung Donga Hotel
Great place to stay if you just want somewhere to sleep that’s close to everything.
Fantastic location. Local buses 100m from front door. Few minutes walk to the Jungang Market. Favourite roast duck restaurant straight across the road, through the carpark, less than 200m away. Easy to get to bus terminal or KTX station, less than $5 by taxi, maybe $1.50 if you get a local bus. If you just need somewhere to sleep and are out sightseeing all day location makes up for the dated interior. Aircon works fine, hot water in shower.
Wife didn’t like the hard bed.

Great hotel but expect to get what you pay for.
The location was excellent, the air conditioner used regularly, the staff were friendly and helpful and they provided water and clean towels every day.
It was a bit run down and the WiFi didn’t work most of the time.

this was a nice hotel few years ago and it could use a refurbished, but the price reflects the state, you get what you paid for
